Welcome to Cornell's
Hindu Student Council!

Announcements

Welcome back to another semester at Cornell!

HSC will be having the first bhajans of the year this Saturday, Jan 25th at 4PM in the Edwards Room.
We would love to see both old and new faces! As always, feel free to bring in any bhajans you would like to sing.

We have elected a new executive board. Click here to see who they are!

About Us

We come from various cultures and backgrounds to form a community that fosters Hindu culture and religious awareness within the Cornell and Ithaca community. We hold Bhajans (devotional prayers and songs) every Saturday at 4:00 p.m. in the Edwards Room of Anabel Taylor Hall, along with Bhagavad Gita Discussions (sacred Hindu scripture) at 5:00 p.m. We also have special Pujas (ceremony of gratitude) to celebrate the holidays of various gods and goddesses. Additionally, we try to hold and participate in various seva (selfless service) activities throughout the year, including Into the Streets and Relay for Life.

Our Mission and Goals

We strive to to bring together the Hindu community at Cornell and in the Ithaca area through discussion, prayer, and various events both on campus as well as off campus. Our goals include:

  • Provide opportunities to learn about Hindu heritage and culture.
  • Foster awareness of issues affecting Hindus.
  • Provide seva (service) to the community.
